Your favorite purple dragon is back! Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be released September 21 for the PS4 and Xbox One. The original three games (Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon) have been given updated graphics, controls, and audio. Developer Toys for Bob, known for handling Activision’s Skylanders franchise, is in charge of the remaster. There’s been no word for a PC or Nintendo Switch release as of yet, but I would not be surprised if a PC version of the game were announced at a later date. Spyro Reignited Trilogy is available for pre-order now at $39.99.

I can most definitely say I’m looking forward to this remaster. I loved playing Spyro on my PS2 back when I had one, and I can’t really afford to invest in a PS4 at this point in time so will be playing the game on Xbox One. Coupled with the news of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and Kingdom Hearts III being available for the Xbox One, I’m going to have a very busy gaming year!
